Yu Murakami, Our Founder & CEO

Yu Murakami founded New York General Group, Inc. and Massachusetts Institute of Mathematics, where he leads business and scientific research.

He became fascinated with the world of computers at the age of 7, and has been self-taught in computer science, mathematics, and physics for over 17 years. Among them, his areas of interest are artificial intelligence (Transformers・S4 (Structured State Space for Sequence Modeling)・point voxel convolutional neural network・whole-brain emulation), category theory (Kan extention・Yoneda Lemma) and so on, and we are currently working on making artificial intelligence (artificial general intelligence) learn the "operating system of the universe" such as category theory. He admires Nikola Tesla, the great inventor, and has named those sciences and technologies collectively as the "World System."

He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), one of the world's largest professional services firms, after graduating from Keio University. During his college years, he also participated in an internship with Bain & Company, one of the world's leading management strategy consulting firms. After that, he has created "World System on the basis of Bidirectional Encoder Representation(BERT), Categorical Network(CN), and Point-Voxel Convolutional Neural Network(Point-Voxel CNN)" and founded the conglomerate New York General Group, Inc. and the Massachusetts Institute of Mathematics, a scientific research institute, in the United States.

New York General Group, Inc. and the Massachusetts Institute of Mathematics have now merged, with the former owning 100% of the latter. New York General Group, Inc. has grown into a hectocorn company with an enterprise value of over $100 billion in less than three years. The root of our corporate value is the "World System on the basis of Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers(BERT), Categorical Network(CN) and Point-Voxel Convolutional Neural Network(Point-Voxel CNN)" invented by Yu Murakami. The quantitative evaluation is based on the calculation of artificial intelligence (passed the US Bar exam and US CPA exam) of a third-party research institute, and the qualitative evaluation is based on the opinions of 7 experts which have Ph. D. in mathematics or computer science. The valuation report has also been submitted to the U.S. regulatory authority. The matter is stated in the Certificate of Incorporation and have been reviewed and approved by the regulatory authority. (SR 20232834790 - File Number 5834246)

New York General Group, Inc. is registered in Japan (company number 4800-03-001744, capital amount US$10 million) and is currently headed by Yu Murakami.

His Categorical Network is the basis of CTIS (Category Theory Informed Superintelligence) which outperforms state-of-the-art LLMs such as GPT-4 and Mistral in multiple metrics (Technical Report). Currently, he is engaged in a variety of practical efforts, including the development of a self-correcting algorithm for Transformer that combines attention mechanism and pruning, the development of macro- and microeconomic parameterization techniques based on integral equations using machine learning for measuring corporate value in investment banking, and basic scientific efforts, including research on higher-order dependent dialectica constructions and their applications to homotopy type theory.

He is an inventor and an Accredited Investor with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), and has a background not only in technology but also in business and finance. His company, New York General Group, Inc. is one of the world's largest asset (mainly IP) management institution with a net worth of more than $500 billion (SR 20232834790 - File Number 5834246), and is also engaged in investment banking and private equity fund management.
